A warrant of electrical fitness (sometimes called an E WOF or a WoEF) is an electrical safety check that is undertaken by an electrical inspector every four years. They are required under NZ legislation for any mobile or transportable buildings that have hard wired electrical systems and that plug in to the 230 Volt mains, or are supplied with mains voltages from a generator or inverter.

As well as being an essential safety check (just like the WOF on your car) they are also required by insurance companies. If something unfortunate happens and the E WOF has expired, insurance companies have been known to reject claims.

It is peace of mind to have your E WOF up to date, and is not expensive to have done. It usually takes 30-60 minutes to perform the required tests. If there are any minor issues Tasman Caravan Electrics will take care of them with no additional charge.

An E WOF check involves testing the entire electrical system, including testing safety devices (RCD's, RCBO's), the earthing system, the quality of the insulation on the electrical cables and a host of other safety critical features you may not even realise are there.

As the regions premier specialist in E WOF certification, trust Tasman Caravan Electrics with the safety of yourself, your loved ones and your property.
